About

At Stringlights Music, we partner with students of all ages to nurture and develop a special relationship with music. As an active participant or listener, we hope music is a source of connection, confidence, creativity and friendship throughout their lives. Through small group classes, individual lessons, and community events, students of all ages discover the joy of Fiddle and the Violin in a supportive, collaborative community and environment.

Our goal is to spark curiosity in humans around the magic of music making. The studio is open to fiddlers ages four to adult! In weekly individual or semi-private lessons, students build technical skills and gain knowledge working through repertoire (Fiddle School Method or Classical) in a supportive, progress-focused and active community.

The Fiddle School Method provide a sequential collection of exercises and repertoire (Contest Style fiddle and songs suitable for square dance, swing dance, or a country dance) and an online library of resources and recordings to offer support during home practice.

Tune classes, jams, square dances, contests, open mics and recitals provide opportunities to build community, culture, and confidence in performance. Active studio members will develop the skills necessary to participate in various music making situations including sight-reading, orchestras, and local and national fiddle contests for rankings and even cash prizes!

***Lessons in Suzuki Method, coaching for youth orchestra music, audition prep, and special projects for studio members and non-studio members, available by request.
